My first fair! Yesterday, on a very wet Sunday, in a community hall in Greetland. The fair was organised for local women business owners by super mum Carlie (late twenties, nine year old son, five year old daughter, two jobs). I had a stall, and I sold my compacts!
I now have the bug. It's a quietly awesome feeling seeing a customer choose a product from a stall, and it's your product and your stall. That every decision to that point of sale has been made by you. Its immediacy and plain old, barefaced interaction just doesn't happen online.
And in the thrill of said face to face interaction, I also caught a cold. So, snivvling on the sofa as only a pregnant woman with a cold can (not even allowed lemsips!), while I google fair dates and venues. I'll keep you posted, and might see you there!
